All members are encouraged to attend and support your association.

Calls are made for nominations from among our members to serve as office bearers of the association. Nominations with a seconder for the following positions may be made prior to or at the AGM. Chairperson, Deputy Chair, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Sub editor and committee members.

It would be fantastic to welcome new faces to the AGM and perhaps onto the committee in 2024 

The Committee has agreed to a new look structure for 2024 to ensure we can better serve members and supporters.

2024 and beyond Structure: Executive & Sub Committees

Executive:

• 5-6 people (elected as per AGM)
• Designated roles - Chair, Deputy Chair, Treasurer, Secretary*, PD Coordinator & Promotions Coordinator, Events Coordinator
• Meets bi-monthly
• +/- 10 hours per month (inclusive for Sub-Committee Chairs)

Responsibilities:

• Association Strategic Goals
• Community, government and non-government representation
• Industry connections and partnerships - OEA, EducatorsSA etc.
• Member engagement
• AGM
• Award Nominations & Communications
• Merchandise

Sub-Committees:

• 4-5 people per committee including chair. People can opt to serve on multiple committees.
• Meets once per term (and as required)
• +/- 5 hours per month, per committee
• Every sub-committee member eligible to vote on OEASA awards

Professional Development (chaired by PD Coordinator)

• Implementing the PD planned for the year, venues, catering, liaising with facilitators, staffing events, ticketing. 
• SACE
• Linking with 3rd Party Opportunities (PaddleAus, AusCycling, BLSA etc.)
• Website Resourcing & Content

Promotions (chaired by Promotions Coordinator)

• Management of marketing material, assist in following up articles for OE News, membership communication.
• Social Media
• Sharing and raising awareness of 3rd Party Content (relevant to OE)
• OE-News
• Sponsor/Supporter Recognition

Events (chaired by Events Coordinator)

• Venue, Caterer, Sponsors, Sourcing Award Recipient Gifts, Auction Items etc. Ticketing, Music 
• Annual Awards Dinner
• State Conference
